This information stays on your device, is used only to remember your progress and settings between visits, and is not transmitted to us as personal data. Clearing your browser data will remove this information.

Japa Counter is a free service supported in part by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. The Japa Counter Android App

We also publish a free Android app, Japa Counter (package `com.japachantingcounter.app`), on Google Play. The app follows the same principle as the website: there is no account, no sign-in, and no personal profile. Your mantra counts, completed malas, lifetime totals, and app settings are stored on your own device. The app does not request your contacts, photos, location, or microphone, and it does not transmit your practice data to us.

The app can count offline, so an internet connection is not required for the counter itself. Where the app shows advertising, the same Google advertising terms described above apply, and you can manage personalised ads through your device's Google settings. Your Rights Under the GDPR (EU and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you rights over personal data relating to you. Because Japa Counter operates without accounts, we hold no personal profile, contact record, or practice history about you on our own servers, so in most cases there is simply nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or erase.
